Jack: Jack emerged quickly as a leader on the island. He is the island doctor as well as the person most of the survivors go to when looking for help.

Locke: Hunter and explorer, also a believer in destiny. Locke has formed a connection to the island, and fits there better than he probably ever did in the outside world.

Ana: Passenger of Flight 815. She was seated in the tail section, seat 42-F.

Mr. Eko: Survivor from the tail section. Has an accent that seems to indicate he is from an island in the Carribean region, or perhaps somewhere in Africa.

Charlie: Charlie is the bass guitarist for a rock band called Driveshaft. On the island he has found many ways to make himself helpful and has formed a relationship with Claire.

Hugo: Gentle giant of the island, Hurley is always willing to help those who need it. Hurley is the one person who knew of 'the numbers' before the crash.

Claire: Claire was eight months pregnant at the time of the crash. She was kidnapped by Ethan and has since given birth to a son. She is involved in a burgeoning island romance with Charlie.

Jin: Husband to Sun, known for his bad temper. Does not speak English. One of the survivors who left the island on the raft.

Sun: Sun is the daughter of a wealthy Korean and the wife of Jin. She is knowledgeable in the use of herbal remedies. As time has passed on the island, she has found her courage and independence.

Kate: Kate was traveling as a prisoner of a U.S. Marshal. She seems desperate to get off the island quietly. She is involved in a love triangle of sorts with Saywer and Jack.

Shannon: Step-sister to Boone. Involved in an island relationship with Sayid. Left to care for Vincent when Walt left on the raft.

Sayid: Former military communications officer and a survivor of the Oceanic crash. He has taken a role in organizing people to form an island society and in creating devices to attempt to make contact outside of the island.

Michael: Father to Walt, designer and primary builder of the raft. The first person who Sun confided her knowledge of English to.

Walt: Walt is the ten year old son of Michael Dawson. He has lived abroad with his mother most of his life, and did not know his father until mere days before the plane crash.
